NRA Basic Pistol Class

Perfect for beginner to intermediate shooters, this comprehensive course provides formal instruction in firearm safety, handling, and essential shooting fundamentals. Completion of the class also meets Colorado’s training requirement for obtaining a concealed carry permit.


What You’ll Learn

  • The mindset and attitude necessary for responsible firearm ownership
  • The three fundamental rules of gun safety
  • Proper firearm handling and operation
  • Ammunition knowledge, storage, and cleaning
  • Fundamentals of accurate marksmanship
  • Basic legal and moral considerations regarding the defensive use of a firearm



Class Format & Pricing

  • Duration: Eight hours
  • One full Sunday session or
  • Two four-hour evening sessions
  • Schedule: Offered monthly—call for dates
  • Cost: $135 per person
  • Included: Firearm, ammunition, manual, eye & ear protection, and range time
  • Lunch break taken off‑site for full‑day sessions


Ladies‑Only or Small Group NRA Basic Pistol Class

This class delivers the same curriculum as the co‑ed NRA Basic Pistol course but is offered in a smaller, more personalized setting—designed specifically for women or private groups.
